- The Maryland State Music Teachers Association allows Miss Deborah to enter her students into state competitions for all levels of study. The Spring Festival for piano solos and ensembles are just two of many competitions open to her students.
- The Greater Columbia Music Teachers Association and Baltimore Music Teachers Association offer local networking opportunities for teachers and competitions for students.
